NOKIA N-GAGE MOBILE GAMES SERVICE LAUNCHED

The world’s largest cell phone maker Nokia on Monday launched the N-Gage mobile games service that enables customers to buy and download games onto their handsets.

The new service, which is limited to handsets in the Nokia N81 and N95 series, will let users try out the games before paying for them. Some 30 games — at a cost of €6 to €10 ($9-16) each — are currently available, but the number will be increased to 60 during 2008, Nokia said.

TOSHIBA SATELLITE X205-SLi5 and X205-SLi6 – GAMING NOTEBOOKS OUT !!

Toshiba has launched two new 17-inch gaming notebooks – the Satellite X205-SLI5 and Satellite X205-SLI6. The Satellite X205-SLI5 comes with the Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 45-nanometer processor at 2.40GHz, 320GB of storage using two 160GB 7.200rpm hard drives, a 1440×900 WXGA+ 17″ display, and Windows Vista Home Premium operating system. On the other side the X205-SLI6 ships with the Core 2 Duo T9300 45nm CPU at 2.5GHz, 400GB of storage provided by two 200GB 7,200rpm HDDs, a 1680×1050 WSXGA+ screen, and Vista Ultimate OS. The both laptops have 3GB of main memory and a DVD burner. In addition, the SLI6 model includes an external USB HDTV tuner.

NEW LG 5 MEGAPIXEL PHONE – LG KF750 ?

LG has officially decided to announce the launch of a new 5 megapixel camera phone though the name for the phone is still not confirmed but it could be LG KF750.

It seems to be a slider with LG’s touch sensitive technology for navigation.

INDIA TO HAVE 50 MILLION MOBILE USERS BY 2010

As per Nokia India, India will have 500 million mobile consumers by 2010 with 60 million mobile users having video capability, 100 million music capability, 200 million radio capability, 250 million camera capability and 250 million with internet capability. 

At the Goafest conclave, vice-president and managing director Nokia India, D Shivakumar said, “Mobile phones are not just about voice anymore. Services delivered through mobiles would open up a big opportunity for the advertisers in India with a huge untapped potential.”
